Gautham Garg, better known as Decoder, is a Dallas-based producer and DJ specializing in sci-fi and deep techno. His music reflects his forward-thinking vision and cultural roots, blending retro-futuristic soundscapes with experimental shades of electronic music. In March 2021, Decoder made his debut with The Futurist on the Italian label Antiterra. This initial EP sparked a prolific run of output, including releases on Bomphcast, Srie Records, and his own imprint, Codec Recordings. That same year, he released his debut album, Monolithic Activity Spectrum, on the Spanish label Subsist, and capped off the year with his second album, Dark Shape, issued on Jeff Mills' legendary imprint, Axis. Showing no signs of slowing down in early 2022, Decoder released the Moro Safa EP on the Amsterdam-based label Float Records. This was closely followed by his third full-length album, Plurality Module (Subsist), and Kanavugal, his sophomore release on Float Records. His rapidly expanding discography has garnered support from industry heavyweights such as Richie Hawtin, Jeff Mills, Ben Sims, Jeroen Search, and TWR72. On the touring front, Decoder has delivered standout performances at globally recognized venues and events, including De School, FOLD, and Cialo.
