BOUFFANT BOUFFANT is an artist, designer, DJ, producer, and party starter from New Orleans, Louisiana. He cut his teeth organizing warehouse parties and playing all night at local leather bars before channeling that energy into Gimme A Reason, New Orleans’ longest-running monthly queer party. What began on the dance floor has grown into a full-blown creative practice spanning visual art, design, and installation, rooted in a devoted, close-knit community of New Orleans party people. Equal parts sass and sincerity, his sets are guided by one simple mission: get people dancing and smiling. With an affinity for hypnotic percussion, uplifting melodies, and unexpected moments of euphoria, expect the unexpected, a little bit of sleaze, and a whole lot of love. Louisiana born and New Orleans made, Bouffant Bouffant channels the city’s loose rules and pleasure-first spirit into everything he touches, living unapologetically at the intersection of party and art. GEMNITAL is a Taiwan-based DJ, who has been writing about music and performance arts for various publications and media outlets since his teens. His approach to DJing reflects a longstanding curiosity about sound, shaped by his background in sound art and a deep affinity for underground club culture. His years in Germany, where he pursued studies in cultural studies and sound art, including time spent in Berlin, immersed him in the city’s clubs and queer nightlife. Encounters with underground parties in abandoned spaces and forests further broadened his understanding of the dancefloor as a space shaped by sound, movement and collective experience. A regular at Pawnshop in Taipei, Gemnital has played at Wonderfruit and Organik festivals, as well as at clubs, rave parties and listening bars across Asia, including Mihn in Hong Kong, The Observatory in Ho Chi Minh City, Savage in Hanoi, Kockiri, Nyapi and Permit parties in Seoul, and Smutt in Manila, as well as venues in Australia and Canada. Moving between house, techno, disco and their many related genres, he approaches each set as a shifting narrative, connecting the familiar with the unexpected while creating space for movement and connection. In June 2025, he was selected as one of Mixmag Asia’s Artists Exciting Us. 𝟠
